Binghamton Wins 6th Straight; 6-1 Over Bridgeport

The Binghamton Senators won their 6th straight game Saturday night, defeating the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 6-1. After wins against Toronto & Syracuse on Thursday & Friday, the Baby Sens completed the three game weekend sweep on two goal performances from both Eric Gryba & Cole Schneider. Derek Grant and Andre Benoit tallied the others. Robin Lehner recorded his 8th win of the season, making 35 saves on 36 shots. The Senators don’t play again until November 30th against the Adirondack Phantoms.

Binghamton Wins 3-2 Over Rochester

The Senators won their 3rd straight game, 3-2 over the Norfolk Americans. Derek Grant scored twice, while Shane Prince tallied his first professional goal. Robin Lehner was named the game’s first star and recorded his 6th win of the season.

Jared Cowen Undergoes Hip Surgery; Out 6-8 Months

The Ottawa Senators announced that defenceman Jared Cowen underwent hip surgery today in New York. A full recovery is expected and will take anywhere from 6 to 8 months. Cowen played in 3 AHL games with Binghamton this season before suffering the injury.

Binghamton Wins 5-2 Over Adirondack

The Binghamton Senators won their 2nd straight game, defeating the Adirondack Phantoms 5-2 on Friday night. Derek Grant, Tyler Eckford, Pat Cannone, Mika Zibanejad & Mark Stone scored the goals. Ben Bishop got the start and won his first game in the AHL this season.

Binghamton Wins 4-2 Over Norfolk

The Binghamton Senators snapped a 2 game losing streak on Saturday night, defeating the Norfolk Admirals 4-2. Corey Cowick, Andre Petersson, Andre Benoit & Derek Grant scored the goals for the Baby Sens, who took an early 4-0 lead and rode it the rest of the way. Robin Lehner started in goal, stopping 31 of Norfolk’s 33 shots. The Senators improve to 5-4-1 on the season, good for third spot in the East Division.

Binghamton Loses 1-0 (SO) to Scranton Wilkes-Barre

The Baby Sens lost their second straight game, falling to the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Penguins 1-0 in a shootout. The teams were tied at 2 goals apiece after the first round of the shootout, but Tom Kuhnhackl’s tally won it for the Pens. Binghamton’s next game is against Norfolk on Saturday.
